A Locksmith is required at the time of the Eviction Process
by Robert Zablow on 03/29/12
California law prohibits a landlord/property owner from changing locks, turning off utilities , or any other means in order to evict a tennant from a property. If you attempt to do so you may be held liable for damages, fines, and subsequent criminal charges. Please review the www.dca.ca.gov/publications/landlordbook/evictions.shtml for more information.
A Locksmith is required to be at the property at the time of the eviction. This is in the event the tennants have rekeyed the locks. If you fail to have a locksmith present and law enforcement is unable to gain access to the property YOU WILL HAVE TO RESCHEDULE YOUR EVICTION.
